Children’s Mental Health Week

This week was children’s mental health week, and the theme this year was growing together. This means focusing on the importance of supporting one another, and nurturing each other so that we can all overcome our personal obstacles and reach our full potential.

No one should face mental health problems on their own, and it is up to all of us to support one another as we face the setbacks and challenges of life.

Growing (Cress) Together

Here at Branch Out Together, we have been celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week by planting cress seeds together. This has sparked some brilliant conversations about how we are all growing. We can’t always see growth immediately, and sometimes it is slow. We don’t always notice that something is growing, but it often is. Things can grow in unexpected ways.

Here is a wonderful quote from the parent of one of the children who attend our Basecamp service:

‘Steven loves coming to Basecamp which is very surprising as he always plays on his own, but now he wants to play with others.’

At Branch Out Together, we aim to support all of the children and young people we work with to reach their maximal potential. Everyone has a different range of strengths and challenges, and we look to support each person in a way that is meaningful and significant to them.
